In Columbus, the best-known bakeries and bagel shops have lines on weekend mornings, so arrive early or order ahead where the shop offers it. Across Ohio, immigrant bakeries add Mexican pan dulce, Vietnamese banh mi bread, Chinese buns, Middle Eastern sweets and European rye to the mix, and many gluten-free and vegan bakeries have opened in larger cities. Check the listing for hours, whether the shop accepts custom cake orders and its Google rating before you go, and call about allergens, since small kitchens often share equipment. Day-old bread and end-of-day discounts are common if you ask.

Absolutely terrible customer service. We asked simple questions politely and were met with smart remarks and frustration and disrespect from multiple staff members. The manager was even worse she condescending, rude, and completely unprofessional. Instead of speaking to us directly, she sent an employee to tell us we were being kicked out and then stood around whispering and talking about us to others. If you canโt handle basic customer questions professionally, you shouldnโt be working in customer service. One of the most disrespectful experiences Iโve had.

I can make better elote at home myself. It makes be sad I canโt find a good elote person when there was tons back home. I use to work at a Mexican Snack Bar and my boss will tell me to always pack the corn with cheese to make people actually want to come back. Everytime I come here Iโm disappointed. It actually gets me sad that I canโt find anywhere where I can find a good elote made by someone who actually cares. Profit must be prioritized over bringing Latinos back the feeling of home. In the south you can get an actual good elote for $3. I have no problem paying $5 for an elote but not one that had like 2 grams of cheeses on it. $5 will never be the problem, the lack of quality is. Iโll continue to make elotes at home by myself. Not coming back.

So I have mixed feelings about this place, starting with the beginning you walk in and is very nice presentation. Unfortunately if you don't speak Spanish you're going to have a difficult time as the workers do not speak English. They don't let you try any flavors before you buy them. So you better know what you like ahead of time. And I bought I am monster cookie dough or my 3-year-old and it ended up being mint flavor. Oh and they wouldn't give me a replacement ice cream I had to pay for both. Very bad business.. The ice cream that they had that I got was actually very good, but I can get good ice cream other places and good service. So that's why I gave it two stars. And they're lucky I gave it that it was $24. for three ice creams. I honestly don't know how this place still is in business.

09/12/24 - First time visiting Dulce Vida Ice Cream Factory with coworkers to celebrate a birthday. The decor is definitely โvidaโ because of its vibrant color palette on the walls that complement their dining area. They also have a small outdoor patio near the entrance of the ice cream factory. I ordered a strawberry smoothie and it was sinfully delicious. Parking in front of the ice cream factory, and also on the side (left of the entrance) of the building. It gets busy after five in the evening. Decent prices.

Delicious dishes, and deserts! Clean, bright and colorful atmosphere as well. There are few things though that could make one's experience at this charming ice cream shop go a lot smoother. There should be a list of all the flavors of ice cream displayed separately from the food and ice cream dishes and beverages. Everything should have its own category which would be less confusing for the customers. Everything is mostly in Spanish which is perfectly fine. Just make ordering simple by placing things categorically.
